Burgess Marine Ltd

dry dock support

Burgess Marine directly manages major refits across Europe on a regular basis. Technical Managers are deployed both domestically and internationally, often at short notice, on a project management basis to oversee major structural renewals and repairs as well as main engine overhauls and replacements.

The business not only directly manages planned dockings it provides extensive skills support direct to operators and ship owners with regards to their own planned and emergency
dockings.

A major part of Burgess Marine's business is guaranteeing the availability of skilled project managers, coded steel and aluminium welder fabricators, OEM trained mechanical engineers and marine electricians to support dockings across the globe.

The business supports conventional commercial ship operators, the Superyacht sector and the ministry of defence via our long term purchasing agreement with BAE Systems in Portsmouth. This agreement allows us to utilise the facilities within HM Naval Base Portsmouth to include extensive workshops and six dry docks up to 180m in length.
