Who we are

Burgess Marine are one of the market leaders in ship repair throughout the UK, specialising in Fast Ferries the company also works on conventional tonnage and specialised vessels in conjunction with BAE Systems (formally BVT Surface Fleet) in Portsmouth.

The company also carries out design and fabrication work of marine structures such as harbour installations and pontoons.

Burgess Marine also maintains and services Fast Ferries in the Channel Islands, Europe, the USA, Canada the Middle East and Far East.

People we need

Burgess Marine is offering an exciting opportunity to join an expanding business and develop a career in the marine industry. The company is seeking to recruit a number of personnel, both experienced and inexperienced to assist in expanding business in Portsmouth, Hampshire and Dover, Kent.

Experienced candidates should be able to carry out welding and fabrication works involving steel and / or Aluminium, or be competent mechanical fitters.

Career change?

For inexperienced candidates Burgess Marine offer a superb opportunity to develop your skills and training whilst at work. Those with interest or some limited experience (not necessarily marine based) in welding, fabrication or mechanical engineering are encouraged to apply for immediate vacancies.
